C.A.R.E. is a state-licensed, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary that specializes in rescuing sick, injured and abused animals in the Ozarks.
Medical costs, along with the cost of spaying/neutering, shots and vaccinations, and deworming, are expensive. We do not receive enough funds from adoption fees to offset the costs of these necessary medical procedures.
C.A.R.E. is volunteer-driven and relies entirely on donations. You can save a life. Make a difference!
The shelter typically houses and provides food for over one hundred homeless animals awaiting adoption. These animals wouldn't have a chance without us, and we couldn't do it without you. We typically feed 150 pounds of dry dog food, 20 pounds of dry cat food and use 15 pounds of cat litter each day. This doesn't include the canned cat, dog, puppy and kitten food we also feed.
We are always in need of pet food and kitty litter donations.
If you would like to help, bring a bag of dry food or kitty litter to us at Petsmart, 3500 S. Glenstone, on any Friday between 2:30-6:00, or send a contribution to be put toward pet food purchases.
